Dr. Christina completed her Biology and Chemistry degrees with High Honors at the University of Nevada, Reno. Desiring a career that combined art and sciences- dentistry was the perfect fit. She received her dental degree from Oregon Health and Sciences University in 2007 with Clinical Honors. In addition she was awarded the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry Award of Excellence, and the American Academy of Endodontics Award of Excellence. A firm believer that a “smile is worth a thousand words,” she has focused all her energy on improving her clinical skills to be able to create specialized and unique smiles for her individual patients including facial esthetics to frame the smile. More than anything, she enjoys the relationship she develops with her patients and feels the greatest satisfaction when a patient is happy after receiving their dental care. After practicing for three years in Nevada, she relocated to Oregon with her husband in 2010 to be closer to his family.
Dedicated to continuing education, her dental philosophy has evolved, focusing on the preservation of natural tooth structure, preventative measures, the importance of nutrition, oral pH and gingival health to maintain teeth for a patients lifetime. Treatment plans are created around maintaining natural tooth structure and support based upon current recommendations by clinically peer reviewed evidence. Patient education is one of her top priorities. She strives to provide gentle dentistry with a high quality end result. She enjoys working with patients of all ages. She is certified and trained in minimal sedation, advanced periodontal procedures, including pocket reduction, laser assisted periodontal therapy, bone grafting, traditional gum grafting techniques such as free gingival grafts, autogenous and non-autogenous connective tissue grafting and the Pinhole Surgical Technique. Through the years of advanced periodontal training she has also become a Master Injector of the AAFE, providing Botox therapy for myofascial pain, TMJ, bruxism and clenching, which is commonly linked to gum recession. This has evolved into a patient driven demand for facial esthetics including esthetic Botox, advanced dermal fillers and solid V Soft PDO thread lifts to reshape and define the mid face and jawline for men and women.
She is a member of the American Dental Association, Oregon Dental Association, Clatsop Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry, and American Academy of Facial Esthetics. With the innovation of online study clubs and living in the rural area, it has allowed her to actively participate monthly in high quality dental CE with industry leading providers including the Composite Mastery Online Monthly study club, STG , GBR, Advanced Global Diagnosis and Master Veneer Courses through Phelan Seminars and his team of industry leading clinicians. These have allowed her to stay up to date on a monthly basis with advanced techniques from dental specialists who teach and lead the courses live each month.
She enjoys music, organizing, cooking, gardening and being a proud mommy to her little girl and little boy. She enjoys the friendships she’s developed with her patients over the years and hopes to make many more in the years to come.
