Nicole is a dental assistant. She was born and raised in Astoria. Nicole and her husband Dylan just purchased their first home together in Hammond. In her free time she loves spending time with her family, playing with her puppy Nala and going to the beach. Nicole is a compassionate person who will put all your needs first.
Teresa Ficken RDH
Teresa is our registered dental hygienist with over 18 years of experience. She received her hygiene degree from Lane Community College in 1996 while being awarded the Hu-Friedy award for clinical excellence in dental hygiene. Prior to her dental career, Teresa was a professional baker. Teresa has been a member of the Astoria community for most of her life. She is married to Jack, with whom she has two boys, Matthew and Jacob. Teresa and Jack have a small farm in Lewis and Clark where they raise pigs and lambs. Teresa is very passionate about oral health care and is a great source of information when it comes to maintaining healthy teeth and gums. As a proud farmer, Teresa participates in Clatsop County Fair every year, where she shows off her livestock. In her free time, Teressa loves to travel. Teresa will ensure you have a beautiful clean smile for years to come.
Joanne Wimpy RDH
Joanne is our certified dental hygienist with over 18 years of experience. Her caring chair side manner and gentleness will make you look forward to your next cleaning appointment. Joanne has being married to her husband, Dave, for 30 years. They have two kids, Mike and Alisha, and are proud grandparents to three grandkids. Joanne moved to the coast 10 years ago from Eugene, Oregon due to her husband’s work and has been loving every minute of it. Joanne and Dave enjoy spending time outdoors, whether it’s camping, hiking or four wheeling.
Stacey is an expanded function dental assistant, who brings over 15 years of dental experience to our office.She enjoys being around people and her fun co-workers. Stacey was born and raised in Astoria and attended acquired her education at Western Oregon State College, LBCC and Clatsop Community College. After meeting her husband Brian, who is also a native Astorian, they both decided to settle down in their home town close to family to raise their two beautiful children, Burke and Mollie. Stacey spends a lot of time with her active kids, attending their baseball, basketball and football games. In her free time, Stacey loves camping, fishing, hunting and spending time with her extended family who she is very close with. Stacey is upbeat and optimistic and goes out of her way to ensure patients understand all treatment modalities and utmost, patient comfort while acquiring optimal oral health.
I am lucky enough to be one of the first people to meet and greet patients as they walk into our office. I was born and raised in Astoria and don’t plan on leaving any time soon; I especially love that feeling you get when you see a familiar face and someone calls you by name, whether it be at work or out and about. My job is to answer any questions our patients have and to schedule appointments for them to come back and see us. I am always willing to take on a new challenge. When I’m not at work I can be found playing volleyball, softball, and going on adventures with my family and friends.
Cathy Jo Kirkpatrick
Cathy Jo is a registered hygienist with 11 years of experience. She was born and raised in Astoria. She graduated from Astoria High School and went on to get her dental hygienist degree at Mt Hood Community College. She graduated in 2007 among the top in her class and earned the Golden Scaler Award of Excellence. In 2013 she completed Advanced Laser Training and has a passion for prevention and treatment of gum disease. Cathy is well known for her gentleness, passion of education, and charm with kids. She has a love for the outdoors and spends as much time as possible enjoying it with her husband, son and friends. She loves laughter, music, painting, traveling and living life to its fullest.
Gretchen is our insurance specialist. She will be the first person you meet when you come to our office. Gretchen handles the scheduling, billing and any insurance issues. With almost 20 years of combined experience in medical and dental fields, she is very knowledgeable at her job. Gretchen grew up in Astoria and is OSU graduate, go Beavs! Gretchen has been married to her husband Dean for 17 years, with whom she has a dog and two cats. Whether wild or domestic, Gretchen and Dean are devoted to animals. In her free time, Gretchen enjoys fishing, spending time with friends and family and traveling to warmer places.
I was born and raised in Seaside. I have been married 10 years to my husband Jeremy. We have two wonderful children, Hayden and Hadley. In my spare time, we love to camp, hike, bike, and spend time with our family and friends. I have been in the dental field for over 5 years and enjoy helping patients maximize their dental benefits. It is a pleasure to be part of the Alexandroff Dental family.
Currently working in sterilization. I am studying to earn my certifications to become a dental assistant. Every day that I come to work I learn something new from my helpful and motivating coworkers. In my free time, I love to be outdoors enjoying the beautiful Oregon coast, as well as spending time with my friends and family. I love my hometown and I am excited to learn more about the dental world and to be a part of the Alexandroff dental family.
Jan Coughlin, RDH
While attending Astoria High School, I worked as a dental assistant and that is the reason I became a dental hygienist. I attended OIT in Klamath Falls and then got a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Washington. Since 1992, I have been working in the Astoria area. I love in the Lewis and Clark region with my husband, Jim and our 4 dogs and many chickens.
It has been a real pleasure to work with Drs. Christina and Roman. I am thankful every day to be part of the Alexandroff Dental team where patients are treated as people, not just teeth. In my freetime, I enjoy hiking, gardening, riding motorcycle and spending time with my family.
Kelsey is one of our Expanded Functions Dental Assistants, she graduated from the Dental assisting program at Concorde Career college in 2015, and recently bought her first house! Kelsey enjoys the outdoors, spending time with her friends, family and two fur babies Lola and Nova. Kelsey loves providing patients with a stress free, and pleasant experience.
